My focus has been elsewhere this month.

( and the table is not dirty... Just a really awful finish).

Today, I am Thankful For:

- Sleeping in until 7:45!

~ Morning snuggles with my babies.

- Bath time for littlest man.

~ Added incentive to clean a cupboard when a half jar of molasses leaked out overnight...

- Baby monitors (so I can run around outside with Ean while Felix naps).

~ Our friendly neighborhood exterminator. No more cockroaches! Or ants!

- Quiet time to do dishes while BOTH kiddos slept.

~ A little rest with baby boy before big boy awoke.

- Baby monitor again!

~ Rocks :)

- Crazy cool clouds.

~ The news that hubby is on his way home... And won't have to work again until Monday!

- A margarita and Lawrence Welk music to enjoy while cooking dinner.

~ Swing dancing with Felix to aforementioned music.

- Homemade turkey and wild rice soup.

~Welcoming my honey home.

- Dinner with Ean since Michael had already eaten and Felix was sleeping.

~ Walk in the desert with Ean.

- Resting my weary body in our cool house, feeding Felix while listening (through the window) to a toad hunt.

~ More dishes.

- Watermelon

~ Docfor Who. Season 2, Episode 1

- Couch cuddles with my love.

~ Sweet peaceful sleep.

Locks of Love Donation 2013

Felix Robert Joseph

Born May 11th at 2:11 in the morning. He weighed 7lb 10oz and was 19 inches long.

We are so in love!

39 Weeks

False labor like crazy tonight.
Ouch!
Praying it stays false. At least until Thursday. Then this little man is welcome any time! Just want him to wait until we are home!

Our Week

8:13 on a Tuesday Morning

Sink full of dishes.
Laundry to be done.
Outdoor plants that need watering.
Remnants of a birthday celebration to put away.
Bed to be made.
Ironing board in my kitchen.
Floors that need sweeping and mopping.

I am polishing my nails.

Do I feel bad about this you ask...

No. I do not.

38 weeks pregnant.
Crib and baby clothes ready.
Floors vacuumed.
Some laundry done and folded, ready to be put away.
Slippers (for cold hospital floors) made.
Happy indoor plants.
Hospital bag as ready as can be.
Baby carseat washed and in the car.
Hubby's passage from 25 to 26.
Child and husband fed.

Enough is enough.
Trying to not overdo it every day.
Everything has gotten so much harder....And takes so much longer. Almost time little man...

I can't wait to meet this fellow!

Life at 34 1/2 Weeks

Every day I overdo it. Every day I tell myself I won't.

We planted our herb garden today. With a rosemary plant already thriving, we have now added a lavender (in the ground), a lemon thyme, curled parsley and some boxwood basil (a small leaf variety) in their own pots. I am excited to see how these little plants will do in their harsh new environment... especially when I am going to be more than a little distracted in the coming months, but hope that I will see some fruit from my labors and get to use fresh herbs through the summer!

Getting ready to welcome my dad, mom and youngest brother to Arizona next week! Uber excited! :-)

Ean has a hard time remembering the word freckle... so now most spots on his or others bodies are called "ninkles". He also keeps asking if his brother has come out yet, like he's going to miss it or something... I keep trying to explain that this baby is coming to stay! No way he won't know when his brother comes!

I have now completed THREE New York Times crosswords off my 2013 crossword of the day calendar... yeah... it's April. They are hard!

Making lists of things that need to get accomplished in the next month or so. It's daunting! That's all we have left... a few weeks! This pregnancy has really flown by! Every day brings us closer to meeting this new addition! It's also been much easier this time, without so much anxiety over what labor will be like... because I know!

I make lots of lists. They are my brain outside my body.

These are blessed days. Some are better than others, but all blessed.

In this picture you see Ean's birthday afghan! A set of hand sewn, vintage hanky and scarf curtains and two pixie baby bonnets. Not pictured are a couple (non pixie) baby hats I worked up in the last couple days. So glad to have gotten a blanket made for my baby... it's only been on my to-do list for the past 2 years! We'll see how long it takes me to make one for our newest addition... don't hold your breath! Peace. Abi
