Two Minnesotan Weeks

"I could feel the tears brimming and sloshing in me like water in a glass that is unsteady and too full." ~ Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar

An interesting quote I just found. I feel this was every once in a while these days.... missing my husband, with my awesome family, pregnant (yes! PREGNANT) emotions/hormones *biggest grin*.. all that stuff makes my eyes brim and slosh. Just majorly liked the quote.

Being home has been the awesome. The only thing that would make it better is if aforementioned husband could be present. I miss him terribly.

It's actually fall here. Unlike Texas... when I left it was 85º! Loving all the sweater-wearing, fire starting/sitting, orange leaved trees... and all that wonderful fall stuff.

Currently watching home videos with Stephen, Michael, Christian and Antonio (my families Guatemalan exchange student). He's already convinced we're all crazy... these movies will only reinforce all that he knows.

In fact, just the other day we were all talking and ended up being really weird about something and I leaned over to him and just said "yeah... we're a little crazy"... and in a questioningly sarcastic voice he said "... a little?!". Yeah, he pretty much fits in in the family. Just the fact that he understands sarcasm is great!

Oh, back to the whole pregnant thing, which I'm sure some of you will be wondering about... yes, I am pregnant. everything is going wonderfully. due in march and no, you may not touch :-)

gonna need one of those shirts!

"if cameras had noses... what a world it would be..." ~ Christian (many years ago)

And I just built an entire lego airplane/spaceship. it's presweet. I say, we are never too old to play legos. i love them.

I'm going to focus completely on the task at hand - laughing at our antic of years gone by and reminiscing with siblings.

See you all another time!

Peace... and all that jazz

Abi

I miss you. And I'm so stinkin' happy for you and Michael.

AND I'm very grateful your husband was nice enough to let you abandon him for a week.

Love you.

Wow, pregnant?! Congratulations! I like the "and no, you may not touch." Good luck with that. I think I came off as the grumpiest pregnant person in the whole world--I would avoid all eye contact with people to avoid having my stomach rubbed. And it only worked 75% of the time. Some people cannot be discouraged. After all, your baby (and your stomach, before it's born) belongs to everybody.

Cheers!

Monica

haha--i think i touched your stomach--but it was only because hugging you was different, and i had to touch to help realize what is reality.

but i'm anti-touch pregnant stomach too. Er, or I will be, if I'm ever pregnant. It will still be my STOMACH for goodness' sake and if our relationship was minus stomach-petting beforehand, it shall remain so. *breathes*

I love that quote! I feel excuse-less but I've been like that the last...year...

i think it's the growing-up thing? perhaps? =P

Anyway, though. I'm having a one-sided conversation in this comment, hehe. But I love this post! you should post the full resolution pic of we girls, because I want it.

and yeah.

i miss you! i wish you'd stayed longer, but anyway.

keep posting! you're a fun blogger. :)
