I am ALWAYS thankful that Michael is in adult material...typically it's for people 16 and older, but Master Teresa knows he can totally handle anything she may throw at him! don't know what i'd do if I was always doing those things alone!

Getting THE talk from Master Teresa is either the best or worst part of the test...neither Douglas or Cami passed the test, but only have to redo intermediate kicks and then get their belts. Happened with me last time...know what it's like...and it's not nice!

Don't have any suitable pictures of the Tae Kwon Do demo we did...so...

~performed on a TINY stage, no padding and a canopy overhead..(always in fear of kicking dangling lights down)
~had a pretty good outcome
~ribfest is for um...motorcycle people...
~couple of the black belts did some pretty sweet board breaking! always interesting to see what they've come up with since the last time.
~sprained (maybe cracked) my wrist on the stupid hammerfist...wasn't the boards fault..*sigh*
~forgot my face contact...stupid front kick...when you forget your technique...just punch, kick and scream like a banshee!
~all in all, not my best demo...*sigh*

also didn't help my wrist to go and pick up garbage after...feeling the affects of it now...oh well...it was still all tons of fun, wouldn't do it any different!

I like it how Michael and I are waiting for the command to bow...the others just anticipated it....there was another guy..but somehow he wasn't in the pic..*shrugs*
Receiving gold for pattern...a truely amazing feeling
Board breaking! got to set them up however you wanted, with whichever break you wanted...in order from right to left (since that is how I broke them); forearm, axe kick, knife hand and hammerfist...was pretty sweet!

Friday Morning TKD Session!

And...we're getting there also...kind of
Again...the other way.

So yeah, a small sliver of my morning, was able to challenge on face contacts and feel MUCH more confident about my other stuff too! was a pretty relaxed class...we didn't even bow in and out...just came in when we felt like it, got to work, left when mom came back...was pretty sweet! I love our gym!

Quick explanation here...we only wear the tee shirts in the hot summer months, but still must wear out dobok tops to tests and other events ...it just get TOO hot in the gym...we'd all have died last summer if it wasn't for those lighter shirts!!! honestly!
